This was my first puzzle. This is the one that got me hooked on Ugears puzzles. I have 2 curio cabinets with Ugears puzzles. I have several clocks. I have about 13 Ugears puzzles. I love them!!!

Really well made and thank you for the extra 2017-2044 piece, for the first one broke in half while trying to put it in place.
I made it together with my four year old son who’s a great fan of anything mechanical or related to clocks and wheels. It wasn’t that hard to build and it took us about half an hour to complete it.
At first I had the same problem as some of the others above. That the days do not fit if you use the year 2019, but now I now you have to put the ‘19’ above the month indicator instead of below the 20 _ _
Thank you for the explanation, it works like charm and our son will have a calendar for the next 25 years!! Cool!!

Congratulations on this time mechanism, easy to understand and elegant design. I would only like to add a single request in the following versions. Although almost everyone knows which is the last day of the month, 30 or 31 (or 28-29 in February), I think they put a small dot before or after the month that ends in 31, it would be a little help to have the month fully controlled the days. Thank you.

The Date Navigator is a 2017-2044 mechanical calendar.
The following example will demonstrate how to find out the day of the week using your Date Navigator. To illustrate the process, we selected a random date, June 10, 2031. Follow these simple steps:
1. Set the chosen year against the name of the month in the upper part of the model by turning the large inside gear with numbers 17-44. As you will see, “2” and “0”, the first two figures of the year, have been set up beforehand and you will only need to select the last two, which in this case is 31. Set “31” against “Jun”.
2. In the lower part on the Navigator you will see the calendar for the month you’ve set up in its upper part. For our example, this would be June 2031. Now, you can see that June 10, 2031 is a Tuesday; June 19 – is Thursday, etc.
Brackets indicate leap years.

I put mine together last night, took like 15 minutes. It's a cool device, but I can't seem to figure out why January 2019 doesn't line up right, and there are no instructions to indicate why some months and years are bracketed. There's got to be something I'm missing, and I'm not finding any info online yet. Maybe Ugears can help me figure this out?

some months and years are bracketed due to the leap years. Just match the wishing year and the month and figure out which day of the week (Monday, Tuesday.., Sunday) is going to be.

Чудова штука - оригінально виглядає, має практичне застосування, швидко і легко збирається.
Зібрав і вчепив у офісі на стіночку на саморізах :)
Єдине зауваження: у готовому стані цей навігатор доволі маленький, тому на відкритому місці на стіні він губиться.

Great mechanical calendar. Put together in a very short amount of time. Love the way everything is lasered out. Wish I could get the laser I use at work to do stuff this detailed. Now to figure out which one to get next.

Модель дуже сподобалась своїм дизайном, тому ї замовив собі. Але є декілька зауважень щодо інструкції:
1. Не має опису як користуватись навігатором. Був вимушений шукати інструкцію по використанню на сайті.
2. Невідомо як використовується 20__ в верхній частині моделі.
3. Не зрозуміло чому деякі роки і місяці написані в дужках.

по першому пункту: додамо опис як користуватися в інструкцію по складанню.
1/ вибрати рік (від 2017 до 2044) - сумістити "20__" в верхній частині моделі. з потрібним роком (від 17 до 44)
2/ вибрати потрібний місяць (від січня до грудня)
3/ в нижній частині моделі можна побачити, на які дні тижня (понеділок, вівторок...., неділя) припадають календарні дні обраного місяця потрібного року
по другому пункту:
20__ в верхній частині моделі використовується для вибору року (від 2017 до 2044) - сумістити "20__" в верхній частині моделі. з потрібним роком (від 17 до 44)
по третьому пункту:
роки і місяці, що написані в дужках, це високосні роки
