Die von den Deisten des 17. Jahrhunderts vertretene Theorie des Uhrwerk-Universums besagte, dass Himmel und Erde sowie deren Bewegungen wie eine gigantische Uhr funktionierten, und Gott war dabei der Uhrmacher. Man ging davon aus, dass die drei Grundgesetze der Bewegung und das Gravitationsgesetz von Newton ausreichten, um Phänomene aller Art mithilfe mechanischer Konzepte zu erklären. Mechanische Konzepte sind für Ugears das Größte! In Anlehnung an Isaac Newton präsentieren wir deshalb die Tourbillon-Tischuhr Sternengucker, eine faszinierende Kombination aus fantasievollem astronomischem Observatorium und funktionaler Tischuhr!
Besonders bemerkenswert an diesem funktionalen und wunderschönen Tischuhr-Holzmodell ist das sich drehende Tourbillon, das am oberen Teil angebracht ist. Bei Armband- und Taschenuhren hilft der Tourbillon-Mechanismus, deren Genauigkeit zu erhöhen, indem er den Auswirkungen der Schwerkraft entgegenwirkt, wenn die Uhr nicht bewegt wird. Indem Hemmungsrad und Unruh in einem sich drehenden Käfig angeordnet werden, werden durch die Schwerkraft hervorgerufene kleinere Gangabweichungen ausgeglichen. Bei Tisch- und Wanduhren wird mit dem Tourbillon meistens eher ein dekorativer Zweck verfolgt. Das ist der Fall bei der Tourbillon-Tischuhr Sternengucker von Ugears, bei der die Tourbillon-Kugel so gestaltet wurde, dass sie an ein Observatorium mit großen Teleskopen erinnert, die die Himmelssphäre absuchen, wie jene auf dem Mauna Kea in Hawaii. Wird hier vielleicht gerade eine Karte des Himmels erstellt? Oder werden astronomische Infrarotstudien durchgeführt? Oder gar neue Planeten oder Zeichen intelligenten Lebens gesucht?

Definitely anadvanced build (not for the faint of heart)! This is my first Ugears project after doing six of a competitor brand. I find that the instructions weren't as detailed BUT the parts are much more sturdy. Actually thepanels are at least twice as thick.
I have it completed but I have a couple of gears jamming and Ihaven't found out whichones they are so it won't operate (annoying) but I will figure it out.
One other thing I discovered is that the "lock" is just a hair too long making catch on the drive gear!
Try it if you dare and want a challenge!

An excellent puzzle! A challenge to build and impressive to show off. Adequate instructions, easy to follow. Not for beginners though! And extreme care must be taken - this is very intricate puzzle, and demands full attention at all times. (I made one minor mistake: I installed the UGEARS logo backwards on the top part.) They point out that you need to seat the top tourbillon part. However, once it is completed, there is a breaking-in period: The first time it only ran a few seconds, but I kept restarting it and now it runs continuously.

I have ordered from this company several times, and have always been very pleased with the items they make excellent presents, will order again from this company.
I assembled this model about three years ago, and I found it quite interesting from a technical point of view. I was pleased with the assembly process, but the design itself is very capricious and may not work the first time. I also could not set the exact speed of the clock, so I cannot use it for its intended purpose. However, the model is beautiful and it is pleasant to watch it work. I can recommend it.

I like a challenge, and this fits the bill! First off, the information provided on the website and on the box indicates that this is not for beginners; be warned! Also, there are parts of the provided instructions that are difficult to understand; high-contrast printing could improve this. (Of course, that can wait until the war is over.)
That being said, it is an amazingly clever device, and very well designed! For the times I got stuck (having no idea at the time what a tourbillon is), there are YouTube videos to help.
Best advice for those considering this? Be thorough with the sanding and waxing - I recommend not only waxing the parts as indicated, but looking ahead to see if the waxed part touches something; if so, wax that as well. The end result is well worth it!
All in all, this was an excellent experience, creating a beautiful, unique clock. I'm still in the adjusting phase, so I'm not sure how long I can get it to run per winding, but that's part of the fun!

Ich habe den Bausatz für die Tourbillon-Tischuhr zu Weihnachten bekommen. Nach einigen Tagen war die Uhr fertig. Ich musste noch ein paar Feineinstellungen machen, seitdem läuft sie gut und ist im Freundeskreis der Hingucker. Ein wunderschönes Beispiel für ein tri-axiales Tourbillon, bei dem auch sehr interessante Konstruktionsdetails angewendet werden. Dazu zählen die Planetengetriebe und die nach innen zeigende Ankergabel.
Ein Tipp zur Verbesserung habe ich noch. Unter dem Zahnrad Nr. 173 habe ich vor dem Einsetzen des Toubillonkäfigs noch eine Unterlegscheibe platziert.
Dieser Bausatz ist anspruchsvoll, aber das Ergebnis ist einfach super.

Ein sehr schöner Bausatz, bei dem am Ende ein faszinierendes Modell rauskommt - schön, wie die Teile ineinander greifen und sich bewegen. Leider nur für drei Tage! Dann sind einige Teile im Tourbillon auseinander gegangen und eine Spitze von der Unruh ist abgebrochen. Trotz Reparaturversuch nicht mehr hinbekommen. Schade, ansonsten hätte ich die volle Sternanzahl gegeben.
PS.: ist im übrigen mein achtes Modell, bei dem ich das erste Mal feststellen musste, dass die Teile nicht richtig halten.
