Greetings from Oz! I found the horse required a great deal of patience, meticulous attention to detail and a surprising amount of strength to push some parts together. That said, I loved every moment of construction and derived a great deal of satisfaction when it "walked" for a few seconds. Five stars from me.
Hola, he empezado con uno sencillo, para probar, y me ha encantado. Voy a pasar qal siguiente nivel a ver que tal me va. Un saludo.
A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE WITH MECHANISM!

This is my FIRST MODEL, YAY! But i an sad to say that I have assembled the horse completely and sad to say it cogs up sometimes, the legs sometimes get free and move how theyre supposed to, but i am not fully sure what the problem is, might be some unsanded parts on the winding mechanism going toward the neck, but i am afraid if i try to dissasemble the model since i'd probably break a fair amout of parts.
I hope you can help, but otherwise everything on this model is amazing

Just finished this amazing model( my fifth!) I am awestruck by the brilliance of the design team to be able to replicate a horse’s movement like this!
I spent time ( and patience) sanding and waxing almost all of the parts, and had to problem solve a few times, interchanging part 30 in its various forms.
Proud and delighted to say that my horse is proudly walking around the lounge albeit for only a few steps.
On another note, spare parts for another model have just been delivered at no cost.
A fantastic company!
I love this horse! It was quite fun to put together. Took some fiddling to make sure the flat parts of gears were not rubbing but it worked out. I would certainly recommend that you wax anything that will rub against another part.
It was really cool to see him "trot" for the first time!
This is my second model and I love it! This company uses natural parts so be prepared for rubber bands to biodegrade after a while but that isn’t much problem because only the visual ones do that. I lost a part and customer service was great, just telling them and the part is shipped right to me. Great company that cares. 10/10

We are using this as an assignment for our daughters homeschooling. It provides a good educational learning experience. We are experiencing the same issues as another poster, it seems that the three small gears next to the wind up cog gear are causing the movement . They are binding, even after the use of wax. They have seated fully but are binding to the point that they are jamming up. Any assistance or info you could provide would be very helpful.

Dear Benjamin,
Thank you for your feedback.
Please inspect the gears for burrs, they may lock the mechanism, and see if the stop-start lever is properly engaged during the operation, as that could be the reason.
Please feel free to contact us should you need spare parts or more thorough technical assistance, we are always glad to help!
Best Regards,
The Ugears Team
We have just finished assembling the horse and it does not walk at all... =( I cannot say how many times we went backwards, disassembled a great amount of pieces, and then started again. We had been checking the correct performance of the mechanism every time we added new pieces, but at the end it never worked. We have spent so many weeks... It has been very disappointing, since we think it is definitely the most beautiful and elegant model! We will leave it rest for a while and we may try it again in a couple of months.

Hi Gloria,
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Sorry it didn't work in the first go.
Can you please try using part #30a and wind the model again several times to sit parts in their places? This part should increase the speed of operation and should equalize the model.
Please don’t connect head and legs parts too tight to sides, leave a little backlash, so parts can move freely.
Best regards,
The Ugears Team
These guys are evil geniuses. It's genius how the mechanisms work. It's evil because it's really complicated and it requires a lot of patience. I mean, you have to assemble several wood bearings! You need to be 80 years old to have the patience; you need to be 18 years old to have the force to push some of the parts in. I'm not 80, and my kid is not 18, so we bonded over frustration, used some tools, and cheered when it worked. But we had to use some mineral oil to make some mechanisms work, and lots of wax to fit some parts. I would suggest using this as an educational tool, also. You can teach about cams, ratchets, four-bar mechanisms, bearings, top-dead-center, etc.
The most demanding and satisfying of my wooden constructions.
Built in april 2019, but less than a year and decorating brown rubber bands are getting sticky and white torsional bands are near collapse.
Where I can get replacements for rubber bands?

Me ha encantado!!! Me lo regalaron por Reyes y estoy súper contenta. Me llevó lo suyo montarlo pero valió la pena!!!
Mechanical horse is the first mechanical animal in the ugaars model series, but its structure is very complex, but it is challenging
It's simple love!)) ...
I used to make models like Italeri and Revell but this is something totally brand new for me. Yes, you need a huge amount of patience, time and endurance. But who loves to modelling is not a problem, only a new kind of challenge!
I'm looking forward to finish my horse and start my new project. Congratulations Ugears, great job :)
