Tracked Off-Road Vehicle
Assemble me. Get ready to conquer any terrain!
Ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough, to keep this jeep from gettin' through! The Tracked Off-Road Vehicle from Ugears is an eye-poppin' rock hoppin', heart-stoppin' ride. Our 1:24 scaled wooden ORV model has a spring motor that allows it to travel more than three meters in “D” (Drive) mode and more than four meters in “S” (Sport) mode, an open cab, four-wheel drive, a hood that opens to show the engine, and safety bars in back, but the standout feature are the four tracked modules in place of wheels. No more getting stuck in the mud or snow—with tracks like these you'll power through, no problem.
To operate your Tracked Off-Road Vehicle, give up to 26 half turns of the ratchet mechanism located on the model's undercarriage. The stick shift functions as an "On/Off" switch so put it in "P" (Park) mode before winding, place the ORV on a surface, hold it as you slide the shifter to "D" mode, or raise the shifter slightly and move further back into "S" mode, then release the model. A pendulum located at the back operates to make the vehicle move more slowly in Drive mode. If you didn't think those triangular-shaped tracks could give your rig a smooth ride you're in for a surprise! Challenge your four-wheel drive Ugears Tracked Off-Road Vehicle with some trail runs over rough terrain, snow or ice, or put some small obstacles in the way to test the ground clearance.

super
Nice to put together, tricky to assemble , got to follow the instructions and don't miss a step. It takes awhile to do the tracks but they look cool. All the tracks and there components need to be waxed thoroughly. If you don't they won't turn very good.
I've built six other Ugears models As usual the parts were all formed correctly to the proper shape and everything fit together well. The one tricky part was attaching the tail end of the stainless steel spring as it is wound into place. Fortunately I found a video online that showed more clearly than the instructions. Otherwise the instructions, as always with UGears models are very clear and concise. Upon completion, it runs fine on low pile carpet like berber carpet, but will not traverse any slight inclines as shown in the promotional video. Not really a problem as I didn't really expect it to perform like the promotional videos. Overall another high quality Ugears kit that was fun to build. Take your time, sand and wax wherever the instructions indicate and you should have a model that will look great and will run.
This is my fifth Ugears. Not overly impressed with this one. Nice, straightforward build. Quality parts as usual. Does not work/move like the video. I have found this with other models too (Retro Car). The "wheels" move just fine when I hold the vehicle in the air, but once on a surface, I have to keep nudging it to get it to move. I have tried on carpet, concrete and wood surfaces. All parts were sanded and waxed very well.
Powerful, brutal model. Review on the Incredible Gears channel.
I finished building the model. Great detail. Fun to put together. The operation is very frustrating. The shifter would work properly even after rebuilding it several times. Also it took me about me forever to finally get it run on a surface. Ran fine while holding it. It took me about 50 run ins to finally get it to run on the surface. However not enough torque to run up the smallest hill. Needs a stronger spring to create more torque. Be prepared to use a lot of wax.
