Awesome build....so much fun

UGears is my favorite kit company. I have dozens of finished kits on display. This one was an easy one I picked up to fill some spare time.
Well, by the time I opened it up, I had decided to make it far more challenging.
Had I left it alone and assembled it as designed, this would have been done in an hour or two, with no complaints about the typically high quality materials.
Turns out, however, that carving every scale and feature on the dragon and the box with a dremel requires extra patience! In the end, I was able to stretch this project out over 5 weeks. Oh but it was worth it!

The Ugears catalog is great! So many models to choose from and you can find you skill by looking and reading about the models. Some have instructional videos and they are most helpful.

Ugears models are absolutely the best to build. I’ve been building their models for years and have tried some of the other companies, but I find that the Ugears models are far superior in both instruction and materials. This model was really a great one to build and came out very well.

It was a birthday present for my boyfriend and he loved it! Eventhough it is an advanced level, each step is explainded carefully, which makes it so easy to follow. Every detail is perfectly taken care off and it does move smoothly. The only downside is that you have to be very carefull no to break any pieces while taking them out of the boards.
We had suck a great time building it together!

But I think that must be a 4.5. That's very interesting but it works not so perfect. There are some problems. But at all I think that's great for this type of puzzle!

I am sure that is absolutely great !
But it is a Chrismas present for one of my daughters, so I did not give it to her !

Excellent detaill, easy assembly. The frame on the one I built is now painted in gunmetalmetallic gray. It will be one part of a promotional display for the 2026 Watch City Steampunk Festivaal.
