Merci
I really need to know what size rubber band it needs. thanks

The model looks really cool on the box, but the toothpick axles are impossible to push into place. When 1 broke in the axle hole, I couldn't pull it out either.

Hi Mrinal Jain,
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Waxing and sanding down toothpicks before installation may ease the process.
Please try pliers to remove broken toothpicks.
If spare parts or accessories are needed during the repair process, please fill in a form for spare parts -
https://ugearsmodels.com/request-for-additional-parts.html and parts will be prepared and sent at our expense within 3-5 days from the request.

I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with the design quality of this model. I've built lots of U Gear models in the past and love them but the winding mechanism of this model is poor design and should of used solid dowel to prevent the electric band falling off all the time. Also thicker cocktail sticks need to be used for the spindles. This will make a good static model.
I am going to try the cabriolet next.

I think this model is great. You should pay attention to the instructions carefully. I am also finding it very difficult to push the toothpicks in the correct position. I am on step 8 and cannot find a way to insert the toothpick to make it symmetric. I am affraid to break some part if I push to hard. Do you have any suggestions ? thank you in advance for your help.
Administrator
Dear Pauline,
Thank you for reaching Ugears.
You can grind a toothpick a little and then wax it to make it easier to go into the hole.
You can also use your own auxiliary tools to push the toothpick, pliers for example.
Please feel free to address us if you'll need technical assistance in the future, we're always glad to help.
Stay safe and best regards,
Ugears Team
I am impressed with the Tram. However, I cannot get the rubber band to power it. Winding the band causes it to jump off the disks and jam on the toothpick. How do I correct it?

Hi Les,
thank you for your feedback.
To successfully resolve this issue, you should refer to the assembly instructions (page 27, figure 1-2).
When retracting the pantograph, lever hand (part#25) must fix its position. In case this isn’t working – you need to replace the toothpicks in the node with less flexible ones. After the mechanism is inserted, when the lever is retracted (page. 27, figure. 7), you need to make sure that the lower edge of the lock passes behind the toothpick and does not interfere with the operation of the mechanism. You need to make sure that waxing of the unit (page. 10, figure. 4) is sufficient, or to replace the lower toothpick (page. 18, figure. 4, left knot) with a more flexible one.
Feel free to contact us for any support.
Have a nice day,
Ugears Team
Tooth picks are too weak and break too easily during assembly I need more toothpicks to complete the model which otherwise is good the tooth pick really need to be metal

This model is awesome in general, I like how it looks like! But it has a few issues.
1. Model is hard to assemble. I mean it's so heavy to push toothpicks in place.
2. I got this model in January 2017, and after 1 year owning its axis become a bent and rubber is stretched out.
another one "nice to have"includes sandpaper and wax to the box.

Hi Vilen,
thank you for your feedback. We are changing the toothpicks in all our new models to another types of joints where it's possible. Also we started including the sandpaper and wax to the box.

I love this model. It's difficult to assemble, but it looks cool.

Hi Dima,
it's one of the first our models and soon we'll make some re-engineering: keeping away the toothpicks from the main moving parts
Have a nice day

I loved this prodcut, this is one of my favorite models.
Unique design, works well, large size.
As all the models from ugears, you need to be a bit delicate with them. But I think I already have 7 of their models and I keep on getting new ones when they come out. If you like building things - this is the best kind of gift you will ever get.

I just finished this model and I am so happy with it! The sound of it moving along the track is pleasing and I am grateful for Denys' instructional video on YouTube. I have now successfully completed the Tram, Etui box, and Theater and they are work wonderfully. The toothpicks can be difficult, but I bought a box at the dollar store and they work great. I will admit that I have had to use a little glue on broken parts, but nothing major. It would be nice to see a Carousel! Thank you so much for these charming and well-designed models!

I love the model, but I just get annoyed by putting the sticks through the small holes, and I even broke a small part, wich didn't have a spare version. so I'm currently stuck on page 10, step 3, but Im thinking about something to fix the problem.
but I think when finished, It would be an amazing model, cause I've also build the pneumatic engine, and it works great.
