Mechanical Box wooden model

I was thoroughly impressed with how well the box functions. I built it over the course of two days and i did have some trouble originally fitting in the axles. but once i got it done, the rest was pretty solid. I would love to build more models in the future.

I quite enjoyed this kit. I was able to put it together in roughly an hour and did not feel overwhelmed. Like others have said, for any of these models, I'd make sure you have a set of needlenose pliers on hand. I'm already looking at the catalog to look for my next project!

Easy to put together. Amazing precision engineered and cut pieces. I am very impressed at the design attention to detail. I also love the fun desktop conversation piece it will be.

Bought this for my wife through a Kickstarter campaign. She just built it and was very impressed with the kit. The directions were complete and easy to understand. There were just a couple of pieces where she needed me to apply a little extra force, but other than that it all went together easily.

After a couple of hours of playing around and putting this Mechanical Box together, I'm very impressed with how it turned out. A few extra things you should have available before you start. One, have Candle Wax available, you will need it to lubricate and get the toothpicks through holes and spaces. Xacto Knife, for cutting away things, they really work great on this wood. A pair Needle nose pliers, in case you snap a toothpick, like I did one time. A small hammer. It really makes a difference for getting things in and flush, but take your time. Get things started by hand and then use the hammer. Overall, it really came together nicely and it actually works. I put it together by just looking at the pictures. Good Luck and Enjoy
